Summer 2025 Europe Itinerary
Backpacking Europe...
My Post-Grad Adventure
This summer, I’m setting off on an 18-day backpacking trip through Europe—my first time traveling outside the U.S! It’s something I’ve dreamed about for years, and now I finally get to experience it. My journey begins along the Amalfi Coast in Sorrento, Italy, then takes me to the crystal-clear waters of Hvar, Croatia. From there, I’ll take in the rich history and charm of Prague, Czech Republic, explore the French Riviera in Nice, France, and end my adventure in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain. This trip is more than just a vacation—it’s a chance to step outside my comfort zone, celebrate my graduation, and embrace an entirely new experience.
This page is where I’ll share my itinerary—where I’m going, what I’m looking forward to, and why each destination made the list. I can’t wait to document this journey and the unforgettable moments along the way!

I created this infographic to show how I planned my international trip.
Sorrento, Italy
June 2nd-5th
In Sorrento, I’m kicking off my European adventure by exploring the Amalfi Coast, one of Italy’s most famous and picturesque regions. I’ve booked a boat tour to see the stunning coastline, with dramatic cliffs, colorful seaside villages, and turquoise waters. The tour will take me along the coast, giving me the chance to snap photos of the charming towns like Positano from the water. I’m also planning a day trip by train to Positano and Capri, where I can explore their narrow streets, vibrant markets, and breathtaking views. I also will be taking a true Italian cooking class, where I can learn about the culture's cuisine!

Next, I’ll be heading to Hvar, an island off the coast of Croatia. Known for its beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters, I’m excited to spend plenty of time relaxing by the sea. My hostel is offering a boat ride, which will be a great way to see the island from the water and explore some hidden coves and nearby islands. In addition to the beach and boat ride, I’m also planning to hike up to the Fortress of Hvar for incredible panoramic views of the island and the Adriatic Sea. With its stunning natural beauty, lively nightlife, and rich cultural experiences, Hvar is the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

In Prague, I’m excited to explore the city’s rich history and charming architecture. My hostel is conveniently located just a short walk from Old Town Square, so I’ll be able to easily explore its medieval streets, visit Old Town Square, and see the famous Astronomical Clock. I’m also looking forward to walking across the iconic Charles Bridge and taking in the stunning views of the Vltava River. A visit to Prague Castle is a must, where I can explore the beautiful palaces and gardens while soaking up the incredible city views.

In Nice, the capital of the French Riviera, I’ll be strolling along the famous Promenade des Anglais, soaking up the stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. I plan to spend time exploring Vieux Nice, where I can wander through colorful market stalls and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Another gem I plan to visit is Villefranche-sur-Mer, a picturesque town just a short train ride from Nice. With its beautiful harbor, colorful buildings, and quiet beaches, Villefranche offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Of course, I’ll also take time to relax on Nice’s pebbly beaches and simply enjoy the laid-back vibe of the city.

Finally, I’ll end my trip in Barcelona, a city that perfectly blends vibrant culture, stunning architecture, and Mediterranean vibes. One of the first places I’ll visit is La Sagrada Familia. I’ve heard it’s even more incredible in person, and I can’t wait to see the intricate details and stunning views from the towers. I’m also looking forward to wandering through Parc Güell, with its colorful mosaics and whimsical, almost fairytale-like architecture. I’ll be sure to stroll down La Rambla, where I can take in the street performances and stop by the lively markets. Of course, I’ll make time to relax at the beach, whether it’s soaking up the sun or enjoying the lively beach clubs. With all its art, history, and food, Barcelona feels like the perfect place to wrap up my European adventure.
